Fashionistas everywhere know that Italy is home to many high-end fashion designers, from Dolce and Gabbana to Prada, and every February the fashion capital holds its annual Milan Fashion Week. However, access to the prestigious shows is very hard to come across unless you are Anna Wintour, a movie star, or a supermodel gliding down the runway. The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci Italian Language School has made it somewhat easier and answered curious fashion aspirers prayers by creating a short fashion course. Fashion enthusiasts, both amateur and professional, will be scurrying to Italy with education in mind, as an intense three week professional preparatory course for Italian Fashion Shows is being held at the school.“This course will permit you to dip into [the] Italian fashion system and its secrets by being directly involved in Milan’s fashion week scenery.” says the school. This opportunity promises to offer students an in depth look in to the Italian fashion world with access to runway shows revealing fresh designer collections as well as 20 hours of classroom learning taught by professional fashion experts. All important aspects of the Italian fashion system will be covered from analyzing magazines to touring the most famous and popular shops in Milan. The short course is only for the dedicated as it costs €1,235 and students attending must be able to speak and understand the Italian language. However, the school mentions it also offers a range of courses including one in learning Italian.
